Golfo Dulce Alliance
Regenerative models & practices that bring well-being to all.
BIOREGION
The Golfo Dulce
One of the most vibrant, biodiverse ecosystems on the planet, our efforts aim to support the human and non-human inhabitants of the Golfo Dulce region to regenerate and thrive for generations to come.
“The most biologically intense place on earth.”
– National Geographic
BIOREGION
Whilst Costa Rica is home to 5% of the world’s species in its tiny 0.03% of the earth’s surface, the Golfo Dulce and its surrounding tropical rainforests are home to 2.5% of the world’s biodiversity. This unique environment together with conservation laws, have promoted the optimal conditions for life to thrive, making the Golfo Dulce one of the last truly intact ecosystems in this part of the world.
OUR VISION
As a non-profit, GDA will support conservation, regeneration, and the development of sustainable livelihoods that recognize people as an integral part of nature and as critical stewards of these ecosystems.
Our vision is rooted in the understanding that the health of humans, animals, and ecosystems is interlinked and there is only “one health.”
OUR MISSION
Through the application of human-centered systems thinking and regenerative design principles, GDA will develop and scale programs and models that support the well-being of all life across the Golfo Dulce region.
